Safety and Security

We strive to provide an environment of safety and learning for all children.  Please review the following policies for information regarding the safety and security of children at Trinity.

Well Child Policy

For the protection of children in our care, we cannot accept a child with fever, green nasal discharge, a persistent cough, vomiting, or diarrhea. In addition, we ask that you not leave children in our care who have been exposed to a contagious illness within the last 24 hours.   No medication will be administered by workers. (In Emergency situations, Epi Pens can be administered as prescribed).

Snacks and Allergies

Please inform us if your child has food or insect allergies. You can pick up an allergy information form at the Preschool Welcome Desk. Your child might be offered a snack while he or she is in our care.  The teachers will post an allergy alert sign informing parents of what will be served.

Security Precautions

For your child’s safety and security, at least two adults will be present in each classroom, except in the event of an emergency or special situation. Every volunteer has competed a background check before they are permitted to work with children. Workers will not take children into the bathroom alone.

Drop Off and Pick Up Procedures

Children in Grades 1-3 must be dropped off and picked up by a parent or responsible older sibling. Parents of students in Grades 4-6 can make arrangements with the teacher for that child to be released to go and meet his or her parents.
