The Technology Committee is ready to launch our first ever online directory. Our past photo directories have been a valuable asset, but they become out dated almost as soon as they are printed. Now, since you can maintain your information, the directory will always be fresh and up to date. And if you prefer having a printed copy, you can use the online tools to produce one. It's the best of both.

What can it do?

You will be able to match faces to names by searching the directory.
Find an email address of phone number for someone any time you like.
Keep your information up to date with the church office.
Print a photo directory to keep at home.
Contact everyone on a particular committee or in a particular Sunday School class.

What about security?

The directory uses the latest security technologies available. You can read more about them here: http://www.memberclicks.com/security/ And the biggest security feature is you. You have full control over what information goes into the directory and which of that information is visible to other members.

Do I have to participate?

This is strictly voluntary. However, the more that participate the better tool the directory will become. Even if you decide to hide your entire profile, you can still use the directory to keep your information up to date, which will be reflected in Nan's church records.
Plus, as we create more "members only" areas of the Trinity web site, they will use your directory username and password for access. So there is much more to come.

How do I get access?

You will need to visit Joanne Brann to get your username and password. We are only giving out this information face-to-face to further insure privacy and security. No access information will be given over the phone or via email.
Once you log on, please change your password.

What if I do not have Internet access, can I still participate?

Absolutely. We will have machines available during photo sessions over the next three Sundays where someone can assist you with editing your information. When those sessions are over, you can contact Rachel for assistance.

How do I update my information?

after getting your username and password from Joanne
go to the Trinity web site: www.trinitymadison.com
under the Members menu item, select Membership Directory
login
click the My Profile menu item
make any changes you wish
if you check any of the "Hide" boxes, that piece of information will not be visible to other users, but will remain visible to you.
click the Save button
that's it, you're up to date

Can I upload my own photo?

Yes, as long as you have the picture in a digital format (jpg or gif) you can upload it from the 'My Profile' window. The technology committee will be providing free amatuer photo sessions over the next 3 weeks for those who might not have access to a digital camera or scanner. We will then upload the picture to your account for you. Please sign up in the gathering area for an available time slot. There is no limit on the number of updates you make to your profile.
