Our Story

Trinity Baptist Church began as a mission of the Madison Baptist Association in March 1987, supported by eight local churches and a dedicated core group. We initially met in the United Rubber Workers Union Hall before moving into our sanctuary and education building in the summer of 1988, officially becoming a church on March 20, 1988.

The purchase of our 16 acres on Hughes Road was an important step early on. In 1995, we built additional education and fellowship space, completed in winter 2001. By that time, we had three full-time staff. In the spring of 2005, we added a new worship space. Then, in the summer of 2009, we moved into our 15,000 sq ft education and fellowship space, which included new areas for our youth.

Today, our church family includes over 750 members, with an average of over 125 in Sunday school and around 250 in our Sunday worship. We’ve experienced steady and healthy growth, allowing us to provide space for our growing community of faith.

Missions are close to our hearts, and we actively participate locally, in our state, nationally, and globally. We partner with and give to the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Alabama Baptist Convention, the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Madison Baptist Association.
