A Word from Our Director

Thank you for your interest in Trinity Baptist Church’s Weekday Preschool Ministry.

Let me tell you a little about our philosophy. It is our sincere desire to provide developmental care in a Christian atmosphere where children can learn through structured as well as unstructured play. We nurture the spiritual, mental, physical, emotional and social development of children in our program, and we work to ensure that each one experiences success. We see each child as a unique individual and strive to instill in each one a positive self-image and confidence in his/her own abilities.

Our goal is to unite with parents to accomplish the objectives which drive our program, and which will help us foster the complete development of each child. We take seriously the trust parents place in us as well as the importance of the jobs we feel we are called to do.

Please read the additional information about our program listed below, and if you would like more information or have questions about our program, please call our office at the number listed above. We’ll be glad to help.

Purpose

The purpose of the Weekday Preschool Ministry (WPM) of Trinity Baptist Church is to provide for the care, education and development of each child enrolled.

It is an extension of the overall ministry of Trinity Baptist Church to serve children, their parents, and the Madison community. Our program is led by a competent, loving, and qualified staff whose mission is to provide a safe Christian atmosphere where children can learn and have fun.

Methods

Our preschool learning environment provides children with many activities:

Including music, art, story times, indoor/outdoor play, Bible related activities, science experiments, social awareness, language arts concepts, mathematical concepts, and developing social skills through play. The entire preschool uses the W.E.E. (Weekday Early Education) Learn Curriculum, which is developed by Lifeway Christian Resources.

Each of our classes has its own age-appropriate curriculum guide, from which teachers develop lesson plans. In our four-year-old pre-kindergarten classes, we supplement the W.E.E. Curriculum with the Spectrum curriculum. This curriculum enhances our program’s ability to promote kindergarten readiness. All of the curriculum at our preschool is taught through fun activities that provide regular opportunities for verbal interaction and hands-on exploration with constant attention and encouragement.
